     Here's a project that used so many different products, most of them Ranger Products. These include:

Grunge Board - Die Cuts - Alcohol Ink - Sticky Back Canvas - Knob - Decorative Feet - Fibers - Keys - Gems - Gears and Stamps.

Baby It's Cold Out There!

     This is my Layout  using The Robin’s Nest paper Winter Snowflake, and this is how I created it:

1.   Cut the paper around snowflakes and adhere to Indigo cardstock. Use
      Pop-Dots on the four large snowflakes.
2.   Use Icicle Border Punch on White cardstock to create Ice and Snow on
      Top of Page.
3.   Cut out a Large Snowflake and use Snowflake Punch to create small drifting
      Snowflakes.
4.   Place Photos where I have used Graphics.
5.   Use Icicle Stickles on Ice and Snow Top and all the small Snowflakes.
6.   Use Rhinestones for centers of various snowflakes.

IT'S RETRO SANTA

     It's the last Blog Hop of the year and you have probably come from The Robin's Nest and now your here, at Carol Berns.  It's hard to believe this Hop is over, but now I get to mail out all the cards I made throughout the year, lucky me.
     This card was inspired by some scrapbook items I received from a friend who lost her mother and gave me some of her things, so I created "Retro Santa' who really has a folk-art look.  I found a set of stamps that are 50's retro and felt they added the perfect touch.  I added Stickles and inking along with buttons, which were so popular at the time this paper was created.      WOW, am I really getting in the mood for Christmas, and I just could not contain my excitement so, Bli-bling, Bli-bling.  There is just no such thing as too much Glitz and Glitter for the Holidays.  So, welcome to the second to last posting for our Hop, and you probably came from The Robin's Nest. MERRY CHRISTMAS TAG CARD

 Welcome to this week's Festive Friday Blog Hop. You should have come from The Robin’s nest  , and if you get lost I have included a complete Blog Hop list at the bottom of this post.  SO,
'Tis Almost the Season...really almost, and I have been in a Tag Making mode, so far 30 tags made.  I decided to make a card using one of the tags to show just how easy it is to recycle this year's tags into next year's cards.

     So excited to be able to be part of this FESTIVE FRIDAY BLOG HOP, almost didn't make it.  It's amazing how dependent we have become on the cyber-life.  Here is my entry and it is made with, you guessed it, Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium line of paper and this was very simple, and I decided to keep it that way.  All I did is attach the graphic to red cardstock and add the sentiment with two brads.

It's the Gift from the Heart

If you are viewing this card then you have come from The Robin’s nest  .  Thank you for participating in the FESTIVE FRIDAY BLOG HOP,  have you enjoyed it thus far?  ...I thought so and I thought you might like to know something about my card so here we go:


SUPPLIES:  For this one I went a little wild with supplies. I figured I had them and wanted to see just how many I could combine, so I  used the new Graphic 45 Christmas paper, Green Rayon Ribbon, Fancy Pants Stamps, Tim Holtz Christmas Stamp Set, Tim Holtz Flower and Flourish Die Cuts, Red and Clear Pearl Pens, Black Bling Flourish and 1 Doille, Red Ink and Stardust Stickles, and finally, Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer for Flower Centers.


INSTRUCTIONS:  
1.  Stamp all your components and cut Paper to highlight Flourish on left side.
2.  Die Cut all your flowers and Flourishes.
3.  Use Pearl Pens to embellish Red Stamped Flourish.  Use Clear Pearl Pen on Green Die Cut Flourish.
4.  Ink edges of Doile and adhere then place Stamped and Cout-out Gift.  Add Ribbon and Tag.
5.  Cut out Sentiment (I used Christmas Carol) and Double Mount on two different Papers and Stickle Edges of one.
6.  Add Flowers...and you're done.

To the BEACH double-page Layout

Last night's class was a blast. We made this double-page layout using Sakura 3-D Lacquer for the Surfboard and and on the Flowers and Sandy Shore to adhere the Fairydustglitter that really brought sparkle to a whole new lever: Glittery and Glossy.  We even added Fairydustglitter to the Burlap center mat.  Some of the gals loved it so much they cannot wait to display it on their walls.  For other great and exciting classes be sure to check them out at Treasured Memories .  See you there and remember, to keep creative, keep exploring and keep smiling :))

FESTIVE FRIDAY BLOG HOP AUGUST 26, 2011

HAPPY FESTIVE FRIDAY  and welcome to the Blog Hop.  This card's inspiration comes from the wonderful stamps I found on the Southern California Shop Hop.  

Three different stamps were used to create this card. The background 'Snowfake' stamp has been stamped with Versamark then embossed with Rangers Hologram.  The Snowman stamp was stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink, I then used pastels by Pebbles to add color and finally, Stickles and Pearl Pen to accent key areas.  Tim Holtz' stamp was used for 'Merry Christmas in Black Soot Distress Ink then accented with Stickles.  I then mounted it on white cardstock then light blue cardstock. MILK CAN PENCIL HOLDER

Inspired by all the Back-To-School commercials, ads and scrapbook paper, I had no choice but to create something in that theme.  So, I came up with a Pencil Holder with, of course, Graphic-45 new School line of paper, and I love it all.

I just love the way Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer allows me to 'pop' selected areas to give it a well polished look.  On the Bottle Cap, Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer brightens the graphics and protects it giving it a glassy look.  I also used it on the clocks and the ruler to make them stand out.

Let's get started:
Supplies Needed:
   Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer
   Paper, your choice
   Bottle Cap, (this one is from Once Upon A Page in Burbank)
   Ribbon,
   Stick Pin.
1.)  For the Bottle Cap, I circle-punched a piece of  green cardstock and gave it a good coat of 3-D Lacquer, and let it dry. Then put a pin in it and again coated the inside of bottle cap with lacquer, let it dry and added ribbon and stick pin.
2.)  Cut Background Paper to fit around Milk Can.  Using Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer I adhered it to the can.
3.)  I cut the ruler and clocks from one of the papers, used Crystal Lacquer on entire ruler to give it a lacquered look, and only applied Crystal Lacquer to Clock Faces, let them dry and applied along with the abc graphic.  Add Pencils and Pens, place on your desk, and know it is there to greet you whenever you need it.

SHAKER BOX SNOWMAN

I haven't made a shaker box in a long time and had a ball making this one. So here's what you'll need:
Cardstock in White, Red and Green
Patterned Scrapbook Paper
Melissa Frances Mica (loose snow in box)
Double Stick Foam Tape
Clear lightweight acrylic sheep (for window)
Stampendous Snowman Stamp & Colored Pencils
Pearl Pens in Red and White
!.)  Stamp and color Snowman on White Cardstock.  2,) Run Green Cardstock through Sizzix Frame Die.
3.)  Adhere Clear Acrylic to frame and Place Adhesive Foam Tape all around back of frame.
4.)  Sprinkle Mica inside Frame, apply Snowman to Foam Tape.
5.)  Adhere to Red Cardstock.  6.)  Add Patterened Paper.  7.) Apply Pearls around cardstocks.
And now you have another Christmas Card...one card closer to completing your card list.  Now hop on over

SAKURA 3-D LACQUER JEWELED GIFT TIN BOX

     I just cannot wait to fill this with a gift for my BFF.  This Jewel Tin Box took longer to make only because of the drying time in-between steps so let's get started:

 Supplies needed:
Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer ~ Sakura Square Tin Box ~ Tattered Angels Glass (acrylic) Flourish ~ Chunky Aged Silver Glitter (or you can use silver seed beads) ~ Mixed Blue and Green Seed Beads ~ Scissors.
Instructions:

1.)  Using Scissors, Cut Flourish  to fit top of Tin Box.  Let Dry Completely.

2.)  Sakura 3-D Crystal Lacquer is the only adhesive or glue you will need and you will begin by applying it to the backside of cut Flourish and set onto top of Tin Box.  Then, taking a small section at a time, apply Crystal Lacquer to Top of Flourish, generously sprinkle with Silver Glitter and tap-off excess.  Repeat until entire Flourish is covered.  Let Dry Completely.

3.)  Repeat step #2 only this time you will be applying Colored Seed Beads to the negative space on Tin Box.  Let Dry Completely, then fill with Hand made Jewelry, Gift Card for your BFF...or Mom.

     That's it, you are done.  Try using your favorite colors or if giving it away, the favorite colors of lucky recipient.  Be creative and above all, have fun because 'art should never hurt.'

FESTIVE FRIDAY BLOG HOP July 22, 2011

     Isn't this a sweet Christmas Card, all wrapped up like a Christmas Gift.  And once again, so simple to make.  I found an old gift tag with a Poinsettia, cut it out, backed it with dark green card stock.  Then I cut a diamond shape graphic off, you guessed it, Graphic 45 Christmas Paper.  Applied it, Ribbon and Bling onto Red Polka Dot Paper (love polka dots), and onto a Ready to decorate Card.  I then found a little Bling left over from two weeks ago and put that on, connecting the embellishment with the bow.
    That's all there is to it. Now on to Michelle Cummings site to continue the Blog Hop.  Have fun and don't be afraid to try making some of the cards you see.  Paper and colors do not have to be the same, just follow the design.  Happy creating and keep smiling.
